Total denies pollution charges

French oil and gas company Total Indonesie denied the allegation that it polluted shrimp farms owned by the villagers at the Mahakam Delta, Kutai regency, East Kalimantan, Suara Karya reported.
Heado of the company's communication department Nurul Fazrie said the laboratory tests conducted in accordance with the standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) revealed that the area's water was clean of toxic elements. (*)
