The upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas said that three exploration wells in the Kalimantan-Sulawesi region, originally scheduled for drilling this year, have been postponed to next year.
Azhari Idris, Head of SKK Migas' Kalimantan and Sulawesi Representative Office, revealed last week that out of the total planned 13 exploration wells, only 10 wells, or 77%, have been drilled as of the third week of December 2023.

The three exploration wells include Benawa-3 by Pertamina Hulu Kalimantan Timur and two wells in the Sengkang PSC, namely East Walanga-1 and Sallo Bullo-2.
However, he did not elaborate on the reasons for rescheduling the drilling for these three exploration wells.
According to Petromindo's upstream database, the two exploration wells in Sengkang are now scheduled to be drilled in May 2024.
