Supreme plans additional survey in Rajabasa geothermal field

Geothermal developer PT Supreme Energy Rajabasa (SERB) plans to conduct additional geophysical exploration in Rajabasa geothermal field in Lampung Province this year and early next year.

 “We plan to do the additional resistivity survey this year and early next year to fill in the gap and to improve our understanding of subsurface structure in the Rajabasa (feld) before starting the exploration drilling,” said Novi Ganefianto, VP Exploration and Subsurface Engineering of PT Supreme Energy on Thursday.

However, he did not explain the number of acquisition points and the coverage area.

Based on the current exploration data, Supreme estimates that the Rajabasa field has a reservoir temperature of more than 240℃.

Supreme operates the Rajabasa geothermal project with partners French energy firm Engie and Japanese firm Sumitomo Corporation through PT Supreme Energy Rajabasa, which is developing a 2x110 MW geothermal power plant project.
