Indonesian coal prices saw an uptick over the week as buying interest grew in the second half. Trades for low-rank coal for December loading geared vessels were heard settled at $33.25-34.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, up from transacted levels last week at $33.25-33.50/t FOB, same basis. Lower c.v. coal traded at $27.25/t FOB, basis 3,400 kc NAR, and $21.50/t FOB, basis 3,000 kc NAR, for December loading geared vessels. On a China-delivered basis, trades for low-rank coal transacted at $41.00/t CFR, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for January arrival Panamaxes and $40.70/t CFR, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a December arrival Panamax, up from $39.50-40.20/t CFR, same basis, a week ago.

M42, traded via SGX, this week at $33.50 for a 10,000 t clip in December, unchanged on the week. Q1-2020 was last seen bid at 33.85 and offered at $34.75, with a mid-point of $34.30, up from $33.70, last week. Cal-2020 was bid at $33.85 and offered at $34.50, representing a mid-point of $34.18, rising from $34.00 a week ago.
