It was a slow start to the week in the Asian thermal markets, although values appeared to be holding at similar levels to those seen at the end of last week. Indonesian low-rank was heard bid for a December loading Supramax at around $33.50/t FOB, basis 4,200 kc GAR. Further out, a January loading geared vessels was bid at $33.50/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, against an offer at $35.50/t FOB, same basis. A similar cargo loading in February was bid at $33.25/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, and also offered at $35.50/t FOB, same basis.
Paper
M42 paper, listed on SGX, was bid at $33.85 for December and offered at $34.50. January was bid at $33.85 and offered at $34.75, while February was bid at $33.80 and offered at $35.00.
