Physical

Indonesian thermal markets were less active, with a number of Chinese participants saying they had closed out their near term buying requirements and were now done ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. Sellers, however, were still reporting that they had enquires for cargoes. For low-rank material, a Panamax loading in February out of East Kalimantan was understood to have transacted at $$36.00/t FOB basis 4,200 kc GAR. Elsewhere, an offer was reported at $36.00/t FOB basis 4,200 kc GAR, for a February loading in Panamax. For geared vessels, a bid was reported at $34.00/t FOB, basis 3,800 kc NAR, for a February loading cargo. Offers were understood to still be hovering around $35.00/t FOB, same basis.

 

Paper

Prompt M42 paper, listed on SGX, was bid for February at $34.15 and offered at $35.40. March was bid at $34.30. Further out, Q2-20 and Q3-20 were both bid at $34.50 and offered $35.50.
