Robust Resources reports drilling results at Romang gold project

Australian-listed firm Robust Resources Limited said on Tuesday further promising assay results are reported from its ongoing drilling programme at the Romang Island Project, East Nusa Tenggara.

The current seven-rig drilling programme is focused on the corroboration of earlier exploration drilling results, and importantly, expanding the boundaries of the known mineralisation. New assay results indicate that the mineralisation continues well beyond the boundaries defined by current drilling.

LWD120 was drilled on the south-eastern extremity of the Batu Mas prospect and intersected high-grade massive to semi-massive sulptiide mineralisatiori over a wide zone. Results include:

? 22m @ 7.74% Cu Equivalent (1.36% Cu, 10.03% Pb, 10.24% Zn, 0.14 g/t Au, 57 g/t Ag) from 126m

? Including 10m @ 10.25% Cu Equivalent (2.36% Cu, 8.65% Pb, 16.76% Zn, 0.16 g/t Au, 61 g/t Ag) from 134m

This is a very encouraging result given that it is the strongest zone of mineralisation intersected so far. The zone is open at depth and to the east. These initial results indicate that the eastern part of Batu Mas is very strongly mineralised in base metals and a number of copper-rich zones have been intersected in the area.

Managing Director Gary Lewis commented: ?LWD120 is one of our most exciting and significant intersections to date and demonstrates that Romang Island hosts significant copper-rich massive sulphide mineralisation. It also confirms that these zones are still open for further discovery.

?These extensions, and other completely untested targets, such as the silver-rich Batu Perak prospect, will be the focus of future drilling campaigns.?

Lewis also said that Robust has now completed 22,000 metres of drilling at Romang Island which will form the basis of a maiden mineral resource estimate, due to be released by the end of calendar 2011 .The final batch of core samples to calculate the resource estimate is now in transit to the laboratory in Jakarta.?

?Assay results from this batch of drill core samples, as well as others already at the laboratory will be released over coming weeks.? (romel)
