Robust reports solid drilling results at Batu Mas

Australia-based miner Robust Resources Limited has generated solid results from the drilling of 14 holes at its Batu Mas gold and silver prospect in Romang Island, Maluku, opening up the system for further discovery and extensions.

The drilling indicates the ongoing prospectivity of the area, the company said in a statement.

One of the most significant recent results was from drill hole LWD151, which is located on the western-most border of Batu Mas. LWD151 intersected continuous mineralization from surface to a depth of 168 meters. Further exploration drilling in this area, and other recently generated targets will become a focus in the New Year.

?To have mineralization across 168 meters gives us every confidence that this new area to the west of Batu Mas is equally as prospective as have encountered in other areas of the island,? said Robust Managing Director Gary Lewis.

?In the next week or so we will be finalizing and reporting our maiden JORC compliant resource estimate. While a pleasing milestone, we are confident that ongoing exploration activity in 2012 and beyond means we can continue to build on our maiden resource estimate.? (romel)
