Indonesia?s largest tin producer PT Timah Tbk said that the company will resume its tin exports if tin price rises to above the current market price of US$23,000 per metric tons again, said public relation head of the company, Wirtsa Firdaus.
?We are still monitoring tin price movement. We and other tin producers have earlier agreed to halt tin exports,? said Wirtsa on Wednesday.
Separately, Director of PT Bank Belitung Timah Sejahtera (BBTS), Johan Murod, said that the rational price of tin should be at US$25,000 per metric tons. ?Break-event point will be reached if tin price is at average US$25,000 per metric tons,? said Murod.
Murod said currently tin price in the market still hovers at around US$23,000 per metric tons. He hopes the tin price will rise again to US$25,000 per metric tons. PT BBTS, he said, will resume exports if tin price rises to that level again. (Ikranagara)
