PT BA contributes Rp 1b for SMA Unggulan

Coal mining producer PT Bukit Asam will contribute Rp 1 billion for the establishment of SMA Unggulan, a special high school offering special curriculum with the aim of generating high quality human resource.
South Sumatera governor Rosihan Arsyad said in Palembang over the weekend that the coal mining company, the country's largest coal producer, was the first state firm, which had expressed its support for the establishment of the special high school.
The local government plans to establish a special high school in each of the province's 10 regencies to create skilled workers. The cost for the establishment of the special school is estimated to reach about Rp 10 billion and most of which are expected to come from state companies operating in the province. (*)
