Prosperity assessing rock chip sampling at Aceh project

ASX-listed Prosperity Resources Limited said it has received and compiled the results from rock chip sampling of exposed massive magnetite skarn in the pit area at the Kuini Prospect in southern Aceh.

The sampling program was planned to determine the grade of gold and copper in the magnetite skarn rocks outcropping in the area being mined and under which the current drill hole program is being drilled.

It said the grades determined are very similar in tenor to those determined for massive magnetite skarn and mineralized microdiorite intrusive intersected in the strike continuation of the same mineralized zone at the Jelatang Prospect to the north-west in two diamond holes.

The Kuini Prospect is one of eight known porphyry intrusive and related skarn targets recognized along 60 kilometers of strike length in Prosperity?s 410 square kilometer Aceh Project.

?It is pleasing to be able to demonstrate from surface sampling that the magnetite skarn and microdiorite intrusive inferred to form the magnetic target body determined from our helicopter‐borne magnetic modeling appears to have significant geochemical anomalism in Au and Cu over an estimated 600‐650 meter strike length," Chairman Mo Munshi said.

"The drilling of the first deep hole under the Kuini Pit is progressing toward the Kuini magnetic target and is anticipated to intersect it in about a day or so.? (romel)
