State-owned electricity firm PT PLN (Persero), through its Nusa Tenggara Development Unit (UIP NUSRA), will develop the PLTMG Lombok-2 combined-cycle power plant, with a capacity of 2x50 MW, in Padar Gaur Village, Sambelia District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province.

“Currently, the PLTMG Lombok-2, with a capacity of 2x50 MW, is in the procurement stage. We expect PLTMG Lombok-2 to serve the Lombok grid by 2027,” said Gregorius Adi Trianto, EVP of Corporate Communications and CSR at PLN, to Petromindo.com on Wednesday (January 22).
Gregorius explained that the growth of economic activities and regional development will continually drive an increase in energy demand.
