PT Pelayanan Listrik Nasional Batam (PLN Batam), a unit of state electricity firm PT PLN (Persero) has launched an open tender for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of the Batam #1 120 MW Gas-Fired Power Plant (PLTGU).
According to the tender announcement, registration and document downloads will be open from Feb. 7 to March 18, 2025, with a site survey scheduled for Feb. 13 and an offline briefing for verified bidders on Feb. 14. The submission period for bid proposals runs from Feb. 17 to March 19.

The tender is open to national and foreign companies with a legal presence in Indonesia, including consortiums where a national company must act as the leader. Bidders must have a large-scale business qualification and relevant experience in gas-fired or steam power plants over the past 10 years.
Additional requirements include holding valid business licenses (SIUP/NIB), electricity service business permits (IUJPTL), and supporting certifications (SBUJPTL). A Rp 20 million (US$1,260) tender fee is required upon verification.
Interested parties must register via email at procman.plnb@gmail.com and lakdan.korporat@plnbatam.com. PLN Batam will assess compliance before approving participation in the bidding process.
