PHR spuds Mibasa-1X exploration well

Pertamina Hulu Rokan (PHR), a unit of  Pertamina Hulu Energi that operates Rokan block onshore Central Sumatra, spud the Mibasa-1X exploration well on Saturday, December 30.

Hudi D. Suryodipuro, spokesperson of upstream oil, gas authority SKK Migas said in a release that the Mibasa-1X well was drilled with a directional hole design using Rig BDSI-27 (750 HP), with a planned final well depth of 3,864 ftMD.

Surya Widyantoro, Head of Drilling and Wells Division at SKK Migas, explained that the purpose of drilling this exploration well is to test and evaluate the hydrocarbon content found in the Telissa Formation and Basement Formation, with estimated reserves of approximately 28.87 MMBOE.

The drilling program for the Mibasa-1X well will be carried out in 41  days, including well testing activities.
