NHM's Toguraci mine to start gold production

Gold miner PT. Nusa Halmahera Minerals, a subsidiary of Australia-listed company Newcrest Mining Limited has started processing its gold production from Toguraci mine in Gosowong gold mine project, Halmahera in North Maluku since Monday.
Nusa Halmahera Minerals Director of Operations Terry Pilch said that the company expects to produce about 40,OOO ounces of gold this year.
"We are processing the production in Toguraci underground mining since yesterday and we are expecting to produce about 6,000 ounces monthly," said Pilch.
The company targets to produce 450,000 ounces of gold this year from Gosowong gold mine project. Gosowong has two gold mine sites namely Toguraci and Kencana with the latter is expected to produce close to 400,000 ounces this year.
Pilch added that since its first production, the Gosowong gold mine has so far produced more than 3 million of gold.
