Emir Muis, Agusman Effendy both supported the inclusion of the system in the electricity bill. But Ramson Siagian opposed the system.
"The multi-buyer multi-seller system in the electricity bill aims to create a conducive climate for investment in the future," Emir said after meeting with former employees of state electricity company PT PLN.
Agusman concurred and said: "The demand from regents and governors to have the authority to invite investors to build power generations in their areas is one of the pressing reasons to discuss the electricity bill."
Ramson, meanwhile, rejected the idea of inserting the multi-buyer multi-seller system in the electricity bill as the system could violate the Constitution, especially article 33.
Meanwhile, the association of former employees of PLN urged the House not to be in hurry to deliberate the electricity bill. The association's chairman Januar Muin said that the bill would allow private companies set their electricity prices, and thus it would burden the people. (*)
