Ministry suspends tender of Gunung Hamiding, Graho Nyabu geothermal areas

The Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has decided to suspend the ongoing tender process for the Gunung Hamiding geothermal area in Maluku Utara Province and the Graho Nyabu geothermal area in Jambi Province pending completion of the revision of the feed-in tariff for renewable energy sources, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.

?In the meantime it (tender process) is put under moratorium?, still being evaluated whether to wait for the FIT (feed-in tariff) or a new mechanism,? said Director of Geothermal at the directorate Yunus Saefulhak, adding that the ministry could not yet decide as to when the winning bidder will be announced.
