The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has begun the selection process for five candidates to fill the position of Director General of Oil and Gas, according to Dadan Kusdiana, Secretary General of the ministry.
“This is a new selection process, and there are five candidates,” Dadan said on Friday (April 25).

Tri Winarno, currently serving as Acting Director General of Oil and Gas, revealed the names of the candidates under consideration:
1. Alimuddin Baso, ST, M.A.B
2. Dr. Julian Ambassadur Shiddiq, S.T., M.T
3. Laode Sulaeman, S.T., M.T
4. Dr. Mirza Mahendra, S.T., M.T., M.M
5. Noor Arifin Muhammad, S.T., M.Si
The selection process is part of the ministry’s effort to formally appoint a permanent successor to lead the Directorate General of Oil and Gas.
