PT Minahasa Cahaya Lestari (MCL), an Independent Power Producer that operates the Sulut-3 2x50 MW (net) coal-fired power plant in Minahasa, North Sulawesi, announced on Thursday PQ tender to supply 2.1 million tonnes of coal under long-term contract.
The company did not give details about the contract duration.
The company requires coal with GCV of 4,200 kcal/kg (AR), TM of 34% and sulphur (1.06%) with minimum mineable reserves of 2.5 million tonnes, 2.1 million tonnes of which will be exclusively allocated to supply the power plant.
Registration opens from November 11-30, 2021.
MCL is a unit of IDX-listed energy firm PT TBS Energy Utama Tbk.
