Some 60 farmers of the Ture village in Perrayung subdistrict in South Sumatra held a protest on Friday in their paddy fields against state-owned gas firm Perum Gas Negara (PGN) for causing the failure of their harvest.
The protesters said that the company's pipeline project had been the primary reason for the failure of the harvest.
The farmers demanded the company to pay Rp 1.9 billion in compensation. (*)
