Kutai Regent urges companies to prioritize local workers

Kutai Regent Syaukani HR urged on Monday foreign companies including oil and gas firms and mining operations operating in the area to prioritize local people in the recruitment of workers.

He said that developing the local human resources was one of the top priorities of the Kutai administration.

Syaukani was speaking at a handing over ceremony of nearly Rp 1 billion worth of project funding assistance provided by oil and gas firm PT Total Indonesie to Sanipah village in Kutai.

Syaukani welcome the assistance, saying that this should only be used as a bait to accelerate development in the area.(*)
