Ill-fated helicopter in Papua found, no survivors

A search team has found the remains of a helicopter carrying three people that crashed Saturday in the Mimika district area, Papua. No survivors were found.

A New Zealander pilot and two Indonesian passengers, who worked for a firm handling logistics of PT Freeport Indonesia?s workers, did not survive, according to Antara.

?Sunday morning, an emergency team of PT Freeport found the location where the helicopter crashed. The three people on board all passed away,? said Freeport Indonesia spokesperson Ramdani Sirait.

The three passengers have been taken to Tembagapura hospital in Mimika. (*)
