The directorate general of mineral and coal verified last week 1,509 IUP holders (coal mining companies) and granted them a "clear and clean" status.
The verification was conducted according to Government Regulation No. 23/2010 and a circular letter of the Minister Energy and Mineral Resources of Indonesia No 03.E/31/DJB/2009, the ministry said in its website.
For those who have not qualified for the clear and clean status will have to meet requirements set by the licensors to be processed for further verification, said the ministry.
Companies that have not been declared clear and clean are required to submit written appeal with the appropriate authorized licensors (Minister / Governor / Regent / Mayor) with a copy sent to the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal on Jl. Prof. Dr. Soepomo No. 10 South Jakarta. (denny)
