Government to issue fuel subsidy coupon

The government will distribute early next month kerosene subsidy coupon for 13-17 million poor households and premium gasoline and automotive diesel coupon for public transportation.
Iin Arifin Takhyan, a senior official at the Ministry of Mines and Energy, said that the coupon would allow the targeted group to purchase kerosene or premium and automotive diesel at the old price level.
He said that each household would be distributed a coupon for the purchase of 12 liter of kerosene each month.
He added that public transportation would get between 13-67 liter per day of subsidized fuel.
The government will raise the prices of fuel products starting April. But certain targeted groups will continue to be able to purchase a limited amount of fuel products at the old price. (*)
