Australia-listed mining company Kingsrose Mining Ltd said that the death of a worker at the Way Linggo mine on Monday was due to accidental drowning in a nearby river.
The company said in a statement Thursday that the worker was not carrying out duties associated with his job as a mine laborer at the time of his death. Kingsrose has briefed representatives of the Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources about the fatality.
Kingsrose controls 85 percent stake in high-grade gold and silver Way Linggo project in Lampung, Sumatra.
