State-owned engineering and construction firm PT Rekayasa Industri (Rekind) said that construction progress at the PLTP Muara Laboh geothermal power plant project in West Sumatra Province has now reached around 20 percent.
Rekind Bussiness Director, Qomaruzzaman, said that the company has obtained EPC contracts from geothermal producer PT Supreme Energy for the 80 MW PLTP Muara Laboh project and 98.4 MW PLTP Rantau Dedap project in South Sumatra.
?Construction progress for the Muara Laboh is around 20 percent, while (construction process of) PLTP Rantau Dedap is still at early stage,? he said to Petromindo.com on Wednesday.
The PLTP Muara Laboh is targeted to start operation in mid-2019, wile PLTP Rantau Dedap in 2020.
Over the past 26 years, Rekind has been involved in the construction of 16 geothermal power plants with total capacity of 812 MW which have already been in operation.
