Efforts are being made to develop cooperation between investors from China and Indonesia?s provincial administrations to construct micro hydropower stations in the country, a well-placed entrepreneur said on Wednesday as reported by Bisnis Indonesia daily.
?We will facilitate their cooperation so that it can materialize as soon as possible,? said Syarif C. Sutardjo, chairman of Indonesia China Business Council (ICB).
Syarif said China is highly experienced in the micro hydropower sector. Moreover, the Chinese government had expressed support to the development of micro hydropower projects in Indonesia, he said.
He added that the projects would be carried out in Indonesia?s rural areas. (*)
