Oil and gas firm PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) signed late on Wednesday an alliance agreement with pipe maker PT Bumi Karya Steel Industry (BKSI) in which the latter would supply quality line pipe to the former on time and at a cheaper cost.

The signing was made by BKSI president Susamto and CPI vice president for general affairs A.A. Batubara. The ceremony was also witnessed by officials from state oil and gas firm Pertamina.

The alliance agreement would help reduce procurement cost by 40 percent to US$10 million per year.(*)
