Caltex pensioners lodge protests

The association of former employees of PT Caltex Pacific Indonesia (CPI) has accused their former company of giving an unfair treatment in the payment of their pension or old-age pension, Riau Pos reported on Wednesday.

The association said in a statement on Tuesday that the starting date of the old-age benefits that would be given its members were made at the end of the calender year rather than at the beginning of the year.

"This certainly has caused losses to the pensioners," he said, citing that the pensioners should get their pension beginning in October, rather than from January or March as contained in the memorandum of understanding agreement. (*)
