The Batam Island Development Authority (BP Batam), represented by its Member for Business Affairs, Wan Darussalam, and PT Batam Sarana Surya, signed the Second Addendum for the Provision of Infrastructure for the Duriangkang Reservoir on December 24, 2024.
The signing ceremony, held at BP Batam’s Jakarta office, reinforced BP Batam’s commitment to supporting the development of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) on Batam Island, Riau Islands Province, as part of Indonesia’s New and Renewable Energy (EBT) initiatives.
Wan Darussalam, BP Batam’s Member for Business Affairs, stated that the two large reservoirs, Duriangkang and Tembesi, would play a key role in electricity generation and the development of green energy for industrial needs in Batam City.
"This marks the beginning of green energy development in Batam. Let’s support the realization of this solar power plant project to enhance Batam’s competitiveness as a top investment destination in Indonesia," he said in a statement.
