Barisan Gold announces new board of directors

Barisan Gold Corporation said that it had appointed a new board of directors, with Alex Granger as President Director effective immediately replacing Darryl Clark.

The company stated that Alex Granger has taken a leadership role within Barisan Gold Corporation since its spin-off from the holding company East Asia Minerals Corporation.

According to the statement, Darryl Clark, the former President of Barisan Gold Corporation, has decided to step down from his role in the company to pursue other interests.

Giuseppe Lo Grasso has been appointed Vice President in charge of exploration. Lo Grasso brings a wealth of experience working on some of the largest gold-copper porphyry discoveries over the last decade. He was previously senior geologist at the Oyu Tolgoi project of Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. in Mongolia as well as project manager at the Reko Diq project of Barrick Gold Corp. and Antofagasta Plc. in Pakistan.

Barisan Gold Corporation is extremely pleased to have Lo Grasso join as a senior officer of the company to lead the exploration and development of the Barisan gold-copper porphyries.

It also wishes to thank Clark for his hard work and dedication to the Barisan porphyries during his time with the company and wish him well in his new ventures. (romel)
