Antam books Rp7.1 trillion net profit in first 9 month

IDX-listed PT Antam Tbk recently said to record a solid performance throughout the course of nine month this year, booking Rp7.1 trillion worth of net profit in the period that ends in September.
The company stated in its report submitted to the stock exchange that the biggest contributor is its gold commodity business, with up to Rp2.5 trillion or 35 percent of its total revenue, while Feronickel became the second with Rp2.2 trillion or 30 percent of the total revenue. Antam's nickel ore business contributed about 28 percent with Rp2 trillion.
As of 30 September 2012, Antam has up to Rp5.5 trillion worth of cash and equivalents, with interest bearing debt reaching Rp4.6 trillion consisting of bond loan and short term bank loans.
"We are focused at giving positive returns to stakeholders despite the weakening commodity prices. Antam remains focused on increasing the company's operational efficiency, managed to safe Rp18.3 billion through various efficiency programs," Antam President Director Alwinsyah Lubis said.
