The Martabe Gold Mine, located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, operates across 646.08 hectares as of December 2024. Since production began on 24 July 2012, the mine has processed over 6 million tonnes of ore annually, producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1–2 million ounces of silver annually.
The Martabe Gold Mine operates under a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) with the Indonesian Government. Initially spanning 6,560 km² in 1997, the concession area has been refined to 130,252 hectares (1,303 km²), encompassing South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies.
As of June 2024, the mine’s mineral resources were estimated at 6.1 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver, while ore reserves were calculated at 3.2 million ounces of gold and 32 million ounces of silver.
The Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified professional to join our Processing (Maintenance) Team, supporting the enhancement of departmental capabilities and the achievement of strategic objectives.
SENIOR MECHANICAL - REBUILD FITTER (PRO 2504023)
This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Processing (Maintenance) Department and will report directly to the Supervisor – Mechanical Rebuild Fitter.
The Senior Mechanical – Rebuild Fitter position has been created to address the increasing workload of component rebuilds within the Mechanical Department. The role requires a specialist with hands-on experience in rebuilding mechanical components commonly found in processing plants, including gearboxes, pumps, valves, and other precision parts. Proficiency in machining and fitting is essential to ensure high-quality workmanship and to minimize the need for rework. In addition to workshop responsibilities, the Senior Mechanical Rebuild Fitter will also support field-based equipment repair, replacement, and installation activities during plant shutdowns.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Minimum of Technical or Senior High School; a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
2. Formal Mechanical Trade Training certification.
3. At least 3 years of experience in a senior tradesperson or lead hand role within mining, oil & gas, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
4. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience rebuilding the following equipment:
• Gearboxes
• Pumps and pump barrels
• Valves
• Jaw and cone crusher components
• Pulleys and plummer blocks
• Heat exchangers
5. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and equipment overhaul manuals.
6. Solid understanding of rebuild shop equipment and tooling.
7. Strong knowledge of bearing and seal types and their applications.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and contribute to a positive team environment.
9. Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work with minimal supervision while meeting targets and deadlines.
10. Effective communicator with a high level of respect and professionalism in interactions with all personnel.

LEADING HAND – FLEET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (MIN 2504022)
This position will be based at the Martabe Site, within the Mining Department, and will report directly to the Engineer - Fleet Management System.
The Leading Hand – Fleet Management System is responsible for the following key functions:
1. Supporting the Mine Technology Team in conducting periodic inspections and maintenance of the Highland Network, Mobile Towers, CCTV systems, and Fleet Management System (FMS) devices.
2. Repairing, installing, and providing support for electronic, microprocessor-based systems, and radio communications equipment.
3. Performing calibration and accuracy testing in the field, while maintaining effective communication with the operations team.
4. Ensuring all Mine Technology assets are maintained in good condition and are safeguarded against operational hazards within the mining environment.
5. Administering daily maintenance activities and troubleshooting tasks to ensure minimal operational disruption.
6. Actively participating in safety initiatives and adhering to all safety protocols to ensure work is conducted safely and responsibly.
7. Maintaining high housekeeping standards across all work areas, including field sites, offices, and storage facilities.
8. Providing back-up support for the FMS Dispatcher role when required.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Possess a valid trade certificate in Auto Electrical, Radio Communications, Electronics, or Industrial Electrical.
2. Minimum education requirement of Vocational High School (SMK) or a Diploma III (D3) in a relevant field.
3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role within the mining industry.
4. Ability to read technical manuals in Bahasa Indonesia; proficiency in English is preferred.
5. Familiarity with instrumentation electronics and communication networks.
6. Strong interest and aptitude in working with electronics and network systems.
7. Excellent communication and coaching skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
8. Ability to drive a car and possess a valid Class A driving license.
9. Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
