Position : Civil Quality Assurance

Applus+ is currently supporting our client in seeking for a qualified Civil Quality Assurance based in Papua, Indonesia. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in civil, geotechnical, or mining construction and demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in remote field environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the on-site representative for the Civil Quality Assurance

• Participate in daily and weekly field coordination meetings

• Respond to or coordinate responses to Requests for Information

• Review and monitor contractor construction protocols, documentation, and QC activities

• Conduct fieldwork including site observations, material sampling, field testing, and reporting

• Ensure inspection and test reports are accurate, timely, and properly documented

• Follow all site-specific Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures

• Collaborate with the client's site team to ensure proper implementation of construction inspection and testing procedures

• Support construction survey, grade control, and as-built documentation

• Assist with field engineering activities and provide operational recommendations when needed

• Maintain detailed photo logs and daily field records

Required Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in heavy civil, geotechnical, mining, or reclamation construction

• Familiarity with construction surveying and grade control methods

• Experience with materials testing (e.g., sieve analysis, Schmidt Hammer, photo gradation)

• Experience as Construction Project Engineer

• Background in geotechnical or geological inspection and observation

• Comfortable working in remote and challenging environments

• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

• Valid driver’s license

• Self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Eagerness to develop new skills
