PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.
In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. Going forward, the Company will continue to be committed to implementing operational activities to secure and sustainable operations, minimal environmental impact and long-term benefits for local stakeholders.
The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.
All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.
Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team in order to enhance its capabilities and support the achievement of departmental objectives.
SUPERVISOR – SAFETY (OHS 2503014)
This position will be situated at the Martabe Site within the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Department and will directly report to the Senior Supervisor – Safety.
The Supervisor – Safety is responsible for promoting a safe work environment by utilizing various OHS tools and processes to implement Annual Safety Programs and ensure compliance.
Applicants for this position are expected to possess the following qualifications and meet specific criteria:
1. Hold a Diploma in Health and Safety or a related field.
2. Have at least five (5) years of experience in Safety, preferably within the mining industry.
3. Hold an SMKP Implementation certification and be a registered internal auditor with an ESDM certificate.
4. Possess a POP/POM certificate.
5. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety principles and best practices.
6. Be well-versed in the Mine Safety Act and Regulations.
7. Show expertise in risk assessment and risk management.
8. Have strong knowledge of incident investigation to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
9. Be familiar with open-pit mining operations and the use of Heavy Moving Equipment (HME).
10. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and maintaining a collaborative work environment.
11. Display initiative, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently to achieve objectives.
12. Demonstrate proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
13. Be eligible to obtain an Indonesian Driver’s License.
14. Have strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
15. Possess excellent communication and active listening skills, both verbal and written.
16. Show a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement.
17. Demonstrate the ability to build positive working relationships, foster teamwork, and respect diverse perspectives.
18. Be skilled in developing and managing short-term and long-term work plans, ensuring progress is effectively monitored and evaluated.
19. Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct research, process information efficiently, and develop innovative solutions.
