PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.
In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.
All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.
To strengthen the existing Processing (Maintenance) team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:
TRADESPERSON - ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION

This position will be based at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Processing (Maintenance) Department and will report directly to the Supervisor - Electrical and Instrumentation.
The role of the Electrical and Instrumentation Tradesperson involves providing hands-on assistance to the Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Supervisors. The primary objective is to ensure the professional, safe, diligent, prompt, and cost-efficient execution of maintenance, modification, servicing, and installation activities by the E&I maintenance team. This entails prioritizing the requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure's electrical and instrumentation systems, equipment, and apparatus. Close collaboration with colleagues in the Electrical and Instrumentation, Mechanical, Process, and Metallurgical teams, as well as with Maintenance Planning and Warehouse personnel, is crucial for the overall success of this role.
Candidates for this position are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience, and attributes:
1. Completion of a Polytechnic/Technical training institute program or an approved Electrical apprenticeship program.
2. Certification in K3 Listrik.
3. Certification in HV Switching.
4. Possession of a valid recognized Driver’s license.
5. Certification in First Aid.
6. Previous experience in comparable roles as an Electrical Tradesperson within the mining, oil & gas, or a similar heavy industrial environment.
7. Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, problem-solving, and inspection processes.
8. Experience in electrical and instrumentation installation methods and practices.
9. Ability to interpret electrical schematic and single-line drawings.
10. Solid understanding of world-class and Indonesian mining standards, as well as associated safety standards (SMKP, ANZS, BS, IEC, and ASTM).
11. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.
12. Capability to comprehend and efficiently execute written and oral instructions.
13. Proficiency in preparing reports and maintaining accurate records.
14. Competence in demonstrating 'Safe Working Procedures' to subordinates.
15. Practical knowledge of Pronto or similar CMMS software.
16. Preferred experience in the maintenance of VPA filter press machines.
17. Proficiency in HV switching operations.
18. Experience in electrical construction and commissioning of Mineral Processing Plant.
19. Basic understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
20. Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet usage.
21. Experience and knowledge in fixed plant equipment maintenance, such as crushers, belt/screw conveyors, vibrating screens, SAG/Ball/Vertical mills, pumps, hydraulic systems, and VPA filter presses.
22. Adequate verbal and written English language communication skills.
23. Ability to work independently in a safe, professional, and workman-like manner, both individually and within a team.
24. Strong attention to standards and detail.
25. Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
26. Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively under pressure.
27. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
