1. Chief Mechanic

The Chief Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all mining equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety. This role involves managing a team of mechanics, coordinating maintenance schedules, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime. The Chief Mechanic works closely with operations and safety teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards while maintaining high-performance levels of all mechanical systems used in coal extraction and processing.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy equipment repair/maintenance, with at least 8 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the mining industry.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems related to mining equipment.

• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and maintenance management software

• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices in the mining industry

• Excellent leadership and team management skills.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

2. Exploration Geologist

The Exploration Geologist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mapping coal deposits to support mining operations. This role involves conducting geological surveys, core sampling, and data analysis to assess the quality, quantity, and structure of coal seams. The Exploration Geologist interprets geological data to generate accurate resource models, guiding mine planning and development. They work closely with drilling teams, mining engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure efficient and sustainable resource extraction while complying with regulatory and safety standards.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geological exploration, preferably in coal mining. Experience with coal seam modeling and resource estimation is a plus.

• Proficiency in geological mapping, core logging, and data analysis.

• Experience using geological software for modeling and resource estimation (e.g., Minex, Vulcan, or Datamine).

• Strong understanding of coal geology, sedimentary formations, and drilling techniques.

• Excellent communication and reporting abilities, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

• Willing to work in remote area

 

3. HR Supervisor

The HR Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily human resources operations, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training. This role involves supporting the workforce by implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and fostering a positive work environment. The HR Supervisor works closely with management and staff to address HR needs, resolve conflicts, and drive initiatives that promote employee well-being and operational efficiency. Their role is key in maintaining a strong, capable workforce that adheres to the safety and productivity goals of the mine.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in human resources, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role in mining industry.

• Strong understanding of labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.

• Knowledge of safety regulations specific to the mining industry

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.

• Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor HR staff.
