PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.

In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. Going forward, the Company will continue to be committed to implementing operational activities to secure and sustainable operations, minimal environmental impact and long-term benefits for local stakeholders.

The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.

All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.

Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Human Resources team to strengthen its capabilities and support the achievement of departmental objectives.

 

SUPERINTENDENT – AMD MANAGEMENT (MG 2501004)

This position will be located at the Martabe Site within the Mine Geology Department and will report directly to the Manager – Mine Geology.

The Superintendent – Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) Management is responsible for supporting site operations in managing risks related to AMD during active mining and in preparation for mine closure. This role provides oversight and leadership in AMD management to ensure that site activities are conducted in compliance with established site procedures, particularly the AMD Manual, as well as applicable government regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include conducting or supervising AMD technical studies, performing site monitoring and inspections, evaluating various site-collected data, preparing reports, and coordinating with AMD stakeholders. This coordination involves both internal teams, such as Mine Geology, Mine Planning, Environment, and Mine Operations, and external third-party entities.

Additionally, the role encompasses a training component, which involves developing and maintaining AMD-related environmental awareness among the site’s operational teams.

Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry, Geoscience, Mining, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

2. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

3. Possession of a valid L/V Driver’s License is mandatory.

4. Proficiency in spoken and written Bahasa and English is essential.

5. Strong knowledge of mineralization and alteration systems affecting AMD management, including the ability to conduct geochemical risk assessments and develop Waste Rock Classification and/or Waste Rock Management Plans for the mining industry.

6. Experience in managing large scientific datasets and performing data analysis, such as statistical evaluation and trend identification through graphing.

7. Specific experience in AMD management in an operational, site-based role, including planning, implementation, and reporting.

8. Experience in planning, scheduling, and interpreting geochemical laboratory tests in site-based, consulting, or academic environments.

9. Experience in conducting quality assurance and control reviews for geoscience projects and/or laboratory testing.

10. Proficiency with software such as SURPAC, Micromine, Leapfrog Geo, and IOGAS is preferred.

11. Familiarity with Indonesian environmental regulations and permitting requirements.

12. Demonstrated enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while maintaining focus and achieving objectives with minimal supervision.

13. Experience in rock geochemistry and/or hydro geochemistry in academic, consulting, or site-based roles is preferred.

14. Proven experience in managing technical projects and/or leading teams in the field of geoscience.

 

SENIOR GEOLOGIST– AMD MANAGEMENT (MG 2501005)

This position will be located at the Martabe Site within the Mine Geology Department and will report directly to the Superintendent - AMD Management.

The role of Senior Geologist – AMD Management is to support site operations in managing risks associated with Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) during mining activities and as part of mine closure planning. This role provides oversight and leadership in AMD management to ensure that site activities are conducted in accordance with established site procedures, particularly the AMD Manual, as well as applicable government regulations and industry standards.

Key responsibilities include conducting or supervising AMD technical studies, performing site monitoring and inspections, evaluating various data collected on-site, preparing reports, and coordinating with AMD stakeholders. This involves collaboration with internal operational teams such as Mine Geology, Mine Planning, Environment, and Mine Operations, as well as with external third-party entities.

The role also encompasses a training component, which includes developing and promoting AMD-related environmental awareness among the site’s operational teams.

Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry, Geoscience, Mining, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.

2. A relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

12. Demonstrated enthusiasm, self-motivation, and the ability to stay focused and achieve work objectives with minimal supervision.
