Logistics Superintendent

(Location : Papua)

 

JOB PURPOSE

• Responsible for Parts Inventory management.

• Manage the customer order flow processes for the Logistics Operations organization – Order Thru Counter and Parts Thru Service.

• This includes responsibility for the order flow processes through warehouses and freight operations in a Country.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management

• Manage inventory team

• Manage inventory settings.

• Manage strategic stock process

• Responsible for working capital and availability in region

• Implement and monitor operational KPIs

• Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders

• Responsible for operational compliance to WoW

• Design and execute financial and operational improvement program

 

Order management.

• Responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operation of the order desk

• Work actively with Inventory, Warehouse and Dispatch teams to ensure efficient flow of customer orders.

• Ensure standardization processes.

• People Management

 

Warehouse

• Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to all procedures.

• Optimize / improve the operational efficiency, budgets and performance

• Manage the infrastructure integrity and planning.

• Continuously improve and manage process flows through the warehouse.

 

EXPERIENCE

10+ years’ experience in Logistics Operation Customer Services (preferable in Mining Industries)

 

EDUCATION, LICENCES & CERTIFICATES

Educated to minimum bachelor’s degree level or equivalent from reputable university.

 

OTHER:

• Preferable Female Candidate

• English Proficiency: Advanced (CEFR C1/ Completed EF level 14)

• Organization Contribution: Efficient Customer Order Desk, Customer Order Process Flow, Customer Services Fill Rates, Management information availability, Informed decision making, optimized inventory levels / inventory availability, Performance Management

• KPIS: Best possible operational cost of service, Customer Delivery Performance, Regional fill rate, Regional stock and OSMI value and turns, Inventory compliance KPIs, Logistics cost as % of revenues, Warehouse operational efficiency (customer satisfaction and % of adherence to timelines), NWC

 

RATING  TECHNICAL / FUNCTIONAL

• Experience in a Warehousing/Distribution/Supply Chain environment

• Experience in a similar managerial position

• Experience managing internal and/or external customer service would be desired

• Strong knowledge of Inventory Management, and have a good understanding of Parts inventory /buying management challenges

• Good knowledge of Aftermarket business and/or Mining business

• Good general business acumen

• Data Analysis and Reporting

• Commitment to excellence and timeliness in internal customer service.

• Positive attitude, ability to lead through changes in a complex matrix organization

• Strong problem-solving skills with proven focus on business and process improvement

• Experience in managing regional teams, would be desired.

 

SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE DESCRIPTION

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems

• Standard Software (Microsoft Office/ QlikView / PDM etc.)
