Eni in Indonesia currently holds participating interests in 10 (ten) Production Sharing Contractors (PSCs), which Eni serves as the operator in deep water areas with active exploration and development programs. The PSCs are spread across various locations in Indonesia, primarily in the Kutei Basin area. Eni’s portfolio in Indonesia demonstrates unique locations that reflect the company’s philosophy to operate in the core business and border areas to manage risks and achieve the best results in hydrocarbon discovery.

We are looking for qualified personnel with high motivation, initiative, and integrity to fill the following position:

 

Job Title: Senior Legal Counsel

Job Roles:

• Report to the Legal Manager Operations, to provide legal support to all departments with respect to procurement, project, operation, and base business-related activities

• Prepare and negotiate contracts for services, purchasing, drilling, workover, marine charter, facility sharing agreement, Front End Engineering Design (FEED), Engineering Procurement Construction Installation (EPCI), Operations & Maintenance (O&M), and other relevant oil & gas industry contracts and ensure their compliance with (a) all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines including PTK-007; (b) Company’s policies, guidelines, and procedures

• Handle and manage legal disputes and claims filed against the company and closely follow up on the legal process, including working closely with external legal counsels to ensure that the company’s interests in each of the disputes, claims, and cases are well protected

• Provide inputs and support in developing the policies, guidelines, and resources for the company

• Observe the laws and regulations relevant to company activities to ensure compliance. Stay abreast on laws and regulations relevant to business, assess new laws, regulations, Local Authorities’ guidelines and assess impact to business.

• Liaise with regulatory authorities for the purpose of the company’s operation and business

• Represent Legal function in the tender committees

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in law. Master or other advanced post-graduate degree in Law would be advantageous

- Professional Qualifications:

• Proven solid experience as an oil and gas company in-house legal counsel or experienced lawyers in reputable law firms with a minimum of 10 (ten) years of legal experience

• Certified PTK 007 Procurement of Goods and Services in Upstream Oil and Gas Industry and admitted to the Indonesian Bar Association (PERADI) would be advantageous

• Demonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal and business concerns, including a strong sense of when to escalate such matters to internal leadership, and proactively propose solutions

• A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach, aiming to build bridges and balance needs across a rapidly changing organization and able to empathize through differences of view and values of others

• An accountable and proactive self-starter, comfortable working independently, and remotely with colleagues

- Language: Fluent in both spoken and written English, with a strong ability to draft legal documents in English.

Job Title: Project Officer

Purpose:

To support the set-up of the new company related to agriculture activities and carbon offset production in Indonesia with reference to the global standard, the company’s requirement, and in compliance with the local law/regulation, time and costs allocated, as well as health, safety, and environment regulations and policies.

General Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

- To support the development and promotion of agribusiness and carbon offset initiatives

- To manage the relations with agricultural counterparts including the relevant local stakeholders

- To support the management of potential stakeholders for raw material supply and prepare the required documents for the formalization of agreements

- To support the management of the supply chain and logistic services for agricultural products and bio feedstock, ensuring the availability and distribution of volumes consistently with bioproduction requirements

- To support the management of carbon offset initiatives

- To become the mentee to understand the agribusiness and carbon offset initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant Industry Engineering discipline

- Professional Qualifications: Minimum 5 (five) years of experience in relevant field (Agri feedstock or O&G industry)

Required Competencies:

Technical Competencies

- Good knowledge and understanding of international standards and company guidelines/best practices relevant to HSE, engineering, commissioning, and start-up

- Good communication skills, with a proactive approach to influence other counterparts with data

- Fluent written and spoken English, including a good understanding of technical English

- Understanding of the local law/requirement

Working Conditions:

Office-based with business trip to other areas, including remote working areas
