PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.
In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. Going forward, the Company will continue to be committed to implementing operational activities to secure and sustainable operations, minimal environmental impact and long-term benefits for local stakeholders.
The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.
All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.
Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Environment team in order to enhance its capabilities and support the achievement of departmental objectives.
TEACHER - TRANSLATOR (TD 2411050)
This position is based at the Martabe Site within the Training & Development Department and reports directly to the Superintendent – Training Development Execution
The Teacher - Translator position involves two key responsibilities: teaching and translation.
In the teaching role, the incumbent will provide English language training to PTAR employees, tailored to specific competency needs across various roles. Training levels will range from A1 to C2, in alignment with the Central European Framework. This role includes active involvement in designing curriculum and syllabi, as well as developing continuous assessment tools to monitor progress. Additionally, the incumbent will create English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses, such as Report Writing, tailored to meet specific client requirements.
In the translation role, the incumbent will be responsible for translating a range of technical documents from English to Indonesian and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and context-specific clarity. Additionally, they will provide verbal interpretation during presentations and meetings to facilitate effective communication across languages.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in English Language or Literature.
2. Preferred: Certificate in English Language Training (UCLES) or Certified Translator.
3. Proven ability to deliver English language programs across multiple skill levels.
4. Familiarity with communicative teaching methodologies.
5. Minimum of 3 years of experience translating documents within the mining industry.
6. Current IELTS score of 7 or TOEFL (PBT) score of 590.
7. High proficiency in personal computer applications, including MS Office.

SENIOR SUPERVISOR – COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE
(CD 2411051)
This position will be located at the Martabe Site in the Community Development Department and will report directly to the Superintendent - Community Infrastructure.
The Senior Supervisor - Community Infrastructure holds a specialized position in civil engineering and infrastructure, focusing on the creation of design and budgeting programs, daily supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of community infrastructure programs and projects. This role also involves providing civil and technical advice, offering alternative solutions to challenges, and advising on proposed projects based on community needs. To ensure accurate and current information, the incumbent is responsible for maintaining updated community infrastructure data, reporting, and progress reports for each project. In day-to-day operations, cultivating positive relationships with the community and relevant stakeholders is integral to this role.
Applicants for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Hold a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, architecture, social sciences, or a related field.
2. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
3. Demonstrate extensive experience in Project Management.
4. Proficient in utilizing infrastructure software such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
5. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and other technical drawings.
6. Possess a working knowledge of construction methods and safety standards.
7. Capable of conducting technical analysis in building design, calculation, and construction.
8. Exhibit strong communication and presentation skills with various stakeholders.
9. Proficient in negotiation, analytical, and conceptual skills.
10. Demonstrate effective leadership and influential team-building abilities.

SUPERVISOR – ENVIRONMENTAL REPORTING & MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS (ENV 2411049)
This position is based at the Martabe Site within the Environment Department and reports directly to the Superintendent of Environmental Management Systems & Reporting.
The Supervisor – Environmental Reporting & Management Systems plays a critical role in the effective implementation and continuous improvement of PTAR’s Environmental & Energy Management Systems, aligned with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) and ISO 50001:2018 Energy Management System (EnMS). This position supports the site management team in achieving regulatory compliance, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing energy efficiency. Additionally, it acts as a backup for the Environmental Reporting function, ensuring seamless fulfillment of all reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Systems Implementation and Maintenance: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of ISO 14001:2015 EMS and ISO 50001:2018 EnMS to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
• Compliance Monitoring: Conduct regular assessments to ensure site-wide adherence to PTAR’s Environmental Policy, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018, and other compliance requirements.
• Program Coordination and Improvement: Design and lead compliance programs, promoting best practices in environmental and energy management and supporting continuous improvement.
• Training and Communication: Deliver targeted training on ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards, sharing environmental and energy management practices with PTAR and contractor teams.
• Standards Development: Establish and enhance Environmental and Energy Standards aligned with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 requirements.
• Environmental Reporting Backup: Act as backup for the Environmental Reporting function to maintain accurate and timely reporting in line with environmental regulations and company standards.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Forestry, Natural Resources Management, or a related field.
2. Preferred certification as an ISO 14001:2015 Lead Auditor, familiarity with ISO 50001:2018, and relevant post-graduate qualifications.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the mining industry, with demonstrated expertise in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 systems.
4. Proficient in MS Office, with experience managing inspection programs and knowledge of environmental and energy management reporting (e.g., AMDAL, RKL-RPL, GHG calculations, RKAB, Sustainability Reports).
5. Expertise in developing and maintaining ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 systems, Life Cycle Assessment, and energy management best practices.
6. Strong understanding of Indonesian environmental laws and regulations.
7. Excellent collaboration skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Effective communication and presentation skills, with a strong command of spoken and written English preferred.
9. Able to communicate by showing empathy and capture verbal and non verbal messages.
10. Able to optimize every opportunity to improve competence.
