Amman Mineral Group - Laboratory PMR Smelter; 3 Positions

An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our operations with a variety of projects and challenging tasks in Smelter Project area, we are looking for highly motivated professionals eager for brave thinking, foster innovation, and build collaboration to achieve operational excellence to fill the following position :

HEAD of HEALTH & FITNESS

(National –  Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for ensuring that the site wide employee community have access to world class facilities and a broad range of fitness classes tailored to the needs of the community; ensuring all facilities are of a consistently high standard and expertly maintained and serviced; Review and report on the performance and resourcing of fitness professionals on site to ensure world class standards are in place and adequate personnel are in place.

• Oversee and manage day to day operations of fitness Business Partner

• Support the Sr. Manager and other senior stakeholders in the development of tailored fitness plans for their business units

• Work directly with the wellness team in providing value added improvements to high and medium risk workers as per medical assessments

• Assess and manage resources including gym facilities and expert fitness personnel to ensure a broad range of world class fitness opportunities exist for the site wide community. Provide reporting to management assessing performance and the condition of all fitness facilities on-site. Make considered recommendations to continually improve the health of the community at site.

• Review class schedules and fitness personnel to ensure maximum participation.

• Daily review of fitness equipment and facility cleanliness. Ensure all equipment and facilities are of a world class standard.

• Report on the quality of fitness classes, ensure classes are delivered on a timely basis and dovetailed to the operating timetable of company business.

• Review and monitor health statistics from MCU and personnel (sick leave, time off from injuries etc) to track overall health of the community.

• Work closely with medical, catering and other wellbeing entities to improve the health of the community.

• This Position will support the Sr. Manager the development of the department budget inclusive of the day-to-day management of Business Partner contracts associated to Health and Fitness activities;

• Propose new initiatives to improve the overall wellbeing of the community.

• Participate in continuous improvement and initiatives to improve the wellbeing of the community.

• Continually assess and review all aspects that can help improve the health of employees, including but not limited to improving diet, healthy food options, stop smoking, health technology and apps.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Bachelor degree in Health Sport or relevant major from reputable university (preferable) with 15 years in the fitness/wellbeing industry

• Have At least 5 years in similar role as Manager / Head of Health & Fitness;

• Fitness certification and or nutrition qualifications; Cert II or III in Sports and Recreation / Fitness or national equivalent;

• Experience with an internationally renowned fitness and wellbeing company; Strong knowledge of contemporary fitness and wellness business including wellbeing technology;

• Good knowledge in Management of multiple fitness facilities; Has strength exposure in Supervision of fitness professionals and coaches; Has good medical knowledge and nutrition;

• Prefer has some international experiences, worked in the fitness industry in other countries.

• Good English comprehension both reading and writing; able to converse in English as well as Bahasa Indo as well. 

• Computer literate (computer skills and familiarity with Business Software, Microsoft Office and Database Management); Has data analytical skill will be desirable;

• Willing to work with Regular Working Days (5 Days On : 2 Days Off) and residential site based

SUPT. LABORATORY (PMR) – SMELTER PROJECT

(Expat / National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

- To ensure smooth operations of the PMR Laboratory at Amman Mineral Industri in Sumbawa Island in Indonesia.

- To ensure compliance with all quality specifications of incoming anode slime from the electro refinery, in process materials and finished precious metals (gold bar, silver bar, selenium) and by-products Tellurium and Platinum & Palladium Group Metal (PGM) through sampling and testing for quality control, quality assurance and metal accounting.

- To motivate performance and continuous training of the PMR laboratory team.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate in Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering 

• Minimum 7 years in laboratory of PMR or other process plants with at least 3-5 years of experience in leading teams

• Understanding of laboratory management system & LIMS

• Understanding of copper smelting operations and precious metal refinery

• Understanding of quality systems 

• Proficiency in analytical tools and techniques and ability to develop new analytical method

• Detailed understanding of statutes related to quality as well as health-safety and Environment

• Lab instrument knowledge / commissioning- ICP, AAS, AFS, XRF, S-OES, Fire Assay, Auto-Titration. 

• Method development, instrument calibration, calibration standard preparation

• Planning and organization skills

• Analytical decision making

• Teamwork and collaboration

• Interpersonal effectiveness and Conflict management

• Customer orientation

• Communication

• Time management

SR. CHEMIST LABORATORY (PMR) – SMELTER PROJECT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• To conduct accurate and timely testing and analysis of input, output and in-process material at the PMR Laboratory at Amman Mineral Industri in Sumbawa Island in Indonesia for quality control, quality assurance and metal accounting with respect to production of gold bar, silver bar, selenium) and by-products Tellurium and Platinum & Palladium Group Metal (PGM).

• To achieve norms of productivity and learn continuously towards improvement of technical competencies and multiskilling.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate in  Chemistry,  Diploma Engineer/ Trade certificate in Chemical/ Metallurgical engineering

• Experience in  laboratory of PMR 1-7 years 

• Understanding of laboratory management system

• Understanding of copper smelting operations and precious metal refinery

• Understanding of quality systems, analytical tools and techniques 

• Lab instrument knowledge- ICP, AAS, XRF, S-OES, Fire Assay, Titration.
