An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT – SMELTER PROJECT

(National - Site Based)

This role is responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance of the Smelter, ASU, Administrative Areas, Workshop and associated infrastructure and equipment in order to maximise uptime of the plant and machinery. Key electrical equipment at the plants in the Smelter Complex include Medium Voltage (MV) Switch Gears, Low Voltage (LV) Switch Gears, Distribution Transformers, Lighting System, Lighting Arrestors, Variable Frequency Drives, Servo Motors and Drives, Rectifiers, Turbine Generator, DC Power System, Battery Management System, MV & LV motors, Motorised dampers, Power Control Centre (PCC) and Motor Control Centre (MCC), Heat, Air Conditioning, Ventilation system (HVAC system), variable Frequency drives (VFD), Electro Static Precipitators (ESP), Protection Relays, Electrical Systems of Cranes, Earthing System of equipment, , Emergency lighting systems and Diesel generators.

Some of your duties will include:

• Preparing preventive maintenance schedule and annual shutdown plan for all electrical equipment across the Smelter, ASU, Administrative Areas, Workshop and associated infrastructure and equipment in coordination with respective operating and other engineering departments

• Overseeing implementation of all preventive maintenance activities for electrical equipment under jurisdiction, including shutdown and overhauling as per plan and budget through in-house team or through external vendors to maximise machine contribution, plant availability and uptime.

• Overseeing functioning of existing electrical equipment under jurisdiction as per standard  parameters/ efficiency indices and corrective action in case of any deviation.

• Overseeing preparation and implementation of predictive maintenance schedule  for electrical equipment under jurisdiction

• Overseeing good housekeeping in areas with electrical installations under jurisdiction

• Conducting risk analysis and overseeing mitigation action for electrical equipment under jurisdiction

• Participating in and promoting team participation in continuous improvement initiatives including digitisation initiatives

• Preparing the annual R&M budget based on previous consumption patterns and planned future requirements, supply of consumables with respect to Electrically operated plant, machinery and equipment under jurisdiction

• Overseeing maintenance of electrical equipment under jurisdiction to support quality compliance, budgeted production and efficiencies

• Overseeing immediate maintenance in case of electrical equipment breakdown or deviation of specified parameters for electrical equipment under jurisdiction towards restoration of operations

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate Engineer /Diploma/Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering

• 7-10 years in Electrical maintenance of process plants with at least 3-5 years of experience of leading teams

• Knowledge of installation and commissioning of  MV/LV transformers MV & LV switch gears, ESPs, Servo motors and drives, Variable frequency drives, relay coordination and protection, MV LV motors, PCC and MCC, earthing systems, cranes, HVAC etc

• Thorough understanding of Inspection and maintenance of Electrical systems

• Knowledge of electrical safety codes and Standards

• Ability for creative problem solving and troubleshooting

• Planning and organization skills

• Interpersonal effectiveness and Conflict management

 

SENIOR SUPERVISOR MATERIAL HANDLING & DAY GANG – SMELTER PROJECT

(National - Site Based)

This role is responsible for supervising the entire material handling operations involving receiving, weighing, sampling, blending, stockpiling, reclaiming and QC of concentrate and flux transported by vehicles and conveyor from the Batu Hijau mines and external suppliers.

The role involves collaboration with the planning team for availability of appropriate copper concentrate, supervising the blending as per receipt and blending instructions given by the technical team.  This role is responsible for monitoring sample collection for quality control of input material.

Some of your duties will include:

• Supervising the Materials Handling Operations to achieve proper receiving, blending, stockpiling and reclaiming of copper concentrates as per plan and stipulated quality parameters

• Supervising maintenance planning and implementation of routine preventative and predictive maintenance as well as shutdowns to improve uptime of the blending shed and associated equipment

• Supervising accurate and continuous data recording, root cause analysis and corrective action

• Supervising achievement of budgeted efficiencies with respect to MHP operations to minimise rejections downstream and minimise copper losses

• Supervising utilisation of resources including spares and consumables vis a vis consumption norms with respect to MHP operations to keep cost of production within budget

• Supervising delivery of specified quality and quantity of copper concentrate blends to the flash furnaces

• Facilitating cross functional collaboration with flash furnace team, engineering teams and the Batu Hijau mines to expedite solutions at all levels

• Supervising continuous improvement in productivity of team members at the MHP by tracking deployment of optimum manpower

• Overseeing optimum deployment and productivity of the Day Gang

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate Engineer in Chemical/ Metallurgy/ Process Engineering

• 3-5 years in smelter operations or other large bulk material handling application

• Domain knowledge of materials handling in process plants

• Leadership and supervisory skills

• Domain knowledge of smelting and blending

• Understanding of maintenance practices

• Understanding of quality systems and process control tools

• Demonstrated commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety regulations.

• Planning and organization skills

• Interpersonal effectiveness and Conflict management
