UPC Renewables is a leading renewable energy developer. UPC-formed companies have developed more than 5,000 MW of now operating wind and solar projects globally. In Indonesia, UPC has been developing renewable projects since 2011. UPC had successfully built the first utility scale wind power project in Indonesia, i.e., 75 MW Sidrap Wind Farm Project, in Sidenreng Rappang (Sidrap) Regency, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in July 2018.

Other than the 75 MW Sidrap Wind Farm Project, UPC has also been developing other renewable (wind, solar and biomass) projects.

On the biomass business, UPC group is currently developing an integrated biomass and agro forestry project (including biomass power plant) in eastern Indonesia.

UPC is currently looking for a candidate to join our Indonesia legal team, with the following descriptions:

 

1.  Position: Junior Legal Counsel

Location: Jakarta

Responsibilities

Among other things:

• Reviewing any applicable laws and regulations relevant to the projects and business of the company and providing legal advice to internal team.

• Preparing any corporate legal documents (e.g., board or shareholders’ resolutions), liaising with the notary in the preparation of any notarial deeds required for the projects or the company (e.g., amendment of articles of associations, company establishment documents).

• Preparing and/or reviewing documents, or agreements with counterparties, including with suppliers/vendors, landowners/ land users, government agencies, PLN and other stakeholders.

• Assisting the development team in the process of application of any approvals, permits, or licenses required for the projects (mainly through the OSS RBA system).

• Preparing and submitting any mandatory reports (including the investment activity reports/LKPM), or any other reports that must be submitted by the company in accordance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in law (SH) from a reputable university with 2-5 years of experience (having experience working with major corporate law firms or multinational companies are preferrable).

2. Fluent in English (both written and verbal).

3. Having ability to work independently or in a team.

4. Proactive, good attention to details, good organization skills, and strong work ethic.

 

2. Position: Logistic Manager

Location: Based in Buru, Ambon

Responsibilities

• Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services

• Managing the warehousing and stocking departments, and shipping operations to optimize and coordinate the full order cycle to fulfill customer demand by delivering the products on time and within budget.

• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers including resolving any arising problems or complaints

• Manage warehouse, catalog goods, plan routes, and process shipments, including tracking the quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and effectiveness/productivity.

• Supervise, coach, and train warehouse workforce and provide training to operations staff

• Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance for improvements, including ensuring the processes comply with laws, regulations, ISO requirements, and OHS Standards.

• Oversee and monitor the availability of stock to reduce shortages of logistics, managing the supply chain, in-kind donations, and asset management.

• Design, and manage contracts in forwarding, transportation, and warehousing as necessary to maintain and improve the efficient implementation of logistics systems and processes.

• Perform other related duties as requested by the Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in business management, supply chain management, logistics, or a related major

• 10 years of experience in Logistic and a minimum of 5 years at the managerial level

• Advance in Warehousing & Storage, Inventory Management, Packaging, Transportation/Trucking, and Information Logistics including application/software for logistics,

• Ability to communicate with all levels, excellent analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Good teamwork and willingness to work hard

• Good written and spoken communication skills in English.

• Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
