PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.

In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. Going forward, the Company will continue to be committed to implementing operational activities to secure and sustainable operations, minimal environmental impact and long-term benefits for local stakeholders.

The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.

All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.

To strengthen the capabilities of the SCM (Supply Chain Management) department and ensure the successful achievement of its objectives, Martabe Gold Mine seeks a qualified candidate for the position of:

CONTRACT ENGINEER – CONTRACT (SCM 2407039)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the SCM Department and will report directly to the Senior Supervisor - Admin Contract.

The Contract Engineer - Contract is responsible for managing all site contracts, which cover a broad range of services throughout the entire Martabe operation and can vary significantly in scope, criticality, value, and risk profile. Regardless of their size, complexity, or value, these contracts are crucial to the successful operation of the Martabe Gold Mine. The Contract Engineer must maintain PTAR's ethical standards at all times, with a clear focus on our company and employee code of ethics, confidentiality, and company values.

The Contract Engineer's responsibilities include preparing and administering the activities of the PTAR Martabe contracting function and ensuring that the commercial aspects of all contracting activities across all PTAR user departments comply with company standards, policies, and procedures, as well as Indonesian law and the Martabe Mine Contract of Work. The Contract Engineer must consistently provide high-level support to user departments for contract bidding, negotiation, preparation, administration, and management, while always applying an ethical, efficient, risk-managed, consistent, and cost-effective approach throughout every stage of the process.

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications and experience:

1. Minimum bachelor's degree; preferably in engineering—industrial, mining, civil, or equivalent.

2. Preferably up to 2 years of experience in the end-to-end process of contract drafting, commercial analysis, contractor negotiation, dispute resolution, tender process, contractor performance review, and contract closeout within a medium to large mining operation or construction company. Fresh graduates with mine site experience are welcome to apply.

3. Outstanding communication skills, adaptability to a dynamic workflow, strong teamwork, and analytical skills.

4. Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and work under pressure with challenging deadlines while delivering high-quality results.

5. Computer literacy, with experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic understanding of Indonesian Contract Law is required.

6. Strong ethics in dealings with suppliers and contractors.

7. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

8. High emotional intelligence is desirable; the candidate should be a team player who can work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate good behavior, integrity, loyalty, a willingness to learn and improve, enthusiasm for accepting work-related challenges, professionalism, and not be strictly job description-oriented.

9. Ability to work quickly with attention to detail, adequate technical knowledge for contract sections, teamwork, critical thinking, and analytical skills are desirable.

10. Integrity with respect to the SCM Code of Conduct is desirable.

11. Candidates should show reasonable initiative and/or activeness, enthusiasm for self-improvement, and view additional work as an opportunity to learn new skills rather than complaining or being passive-aggressive.

 

Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Processing (Metallurgy) team in order to enhance its capabilities and support the achievement of departmental objectives.

SENIOR METALLURGIST (MET 2407040)

This position will be situated at the Martabe Site within the Processing (Metallurgy) Department and will directly report to the Superintendent - Metallurgy Operations.

The Senior Metallurgist will be tasked with:

• Monitoring and reporting on all aspects of plant performance: Ensuring that all processes and machinery are functioning optimally and efficiently.

• Providing technical and operational input as directed to optimize process efficiency: Offering insights and recommendations to enhance the performance and efficiency of metallurgical processes.

• Supervising plant metallurgists and overseeing laboratory test works: Leading and guiding plant metallurgists in their daily tasks and ensuring that laboratory tests are conducted accurately and effectively.

Applicants for this position are expected to possess the following qualifications and meet specific criteria:

1. Educational Background: Hold tertiary qualifications in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, or Chemical Engineering.

2. Specific Experience: Have experience in CIL (Carbon in Leach) and SAG (Semi-Autogenous Grinding) milling.

3. Professional Experience: Accumulate a minimum of 5 years of experience in a production metallurgical role within the resource sector.

4. Gold Processing Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in CIL/CIP (Carbon in Pulp) gold processing.

5. Licenses and Certifications: Hold a valid driver’s license and be POP (Personal Occupational Proficiency) certified, if possible.

6. Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of methods, tools, raw materials, and technologies utilized in metallurgical processing.

7. Safety Knowledge: Exhibit thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.

8. Instructional Comprehension: Display the ability to comprehend and efficiently execute written and oral instructions, including the interpretation of engineering drawings.

9. Adaptability and Self-Development: Showcase adaptability to the work culture and a commitment to self-development.
