Engineer Mine Planning (927116)

(Sangatta)

In this role, you will:

Design a safe and cost effective mine plans and ensure they are issued ahead of time

Provide the technical mine design, scheduling and monitoring function for the mining operation

Ensure designs are discussed with mine planning personnel and consensus is reached on the design approach

Participate, provide input to and discuss the mining plan and any innovations, or issues with Technical Services and Production personnel

Monitor and control dump areas, haul distance, and equipment productivities; monitor the direction of the mining operation to ensure schedules are being followed and advice on the implications of variances from schedule; provide feedback to the Mine Planning Superintendent and the Engineering group to keep them informed of any changes of sequence required in the pit;

Prepare appropriate summaries and statistics of equipment (costs, performance, availability, and utilization), material movement, and inventory levels

About you:

A minimum bachelor's degree in mining or geological engineering. Have experience in mining operation practice is preferable, with minimum of 5 years’ experience on Mining Engineering practice as Engineer Mine Planning/Long Term

The candidate should have Mine design concepts & operations in coal mining, scheduling, and planning skill.

Having strong motivation, English proficiency spoken and written, supportive, communicative, hard worker, self-motivation, team player, and able to work under pressure are preferred character traits.

Specialist Recruitment (927297)

(Jakarta)

In this role, you will:

• To manage of National Recruitment job assignments, managing of recruitment activities through internal or external resources starts from manpower planning, advertising, sourcing, screening, assessing until onboarding

• To manage all the recruitment progress and analyze the difficulties before giving recommendation to hiring managers (end user)

• Identify and implement strategies for improving effectiveness and efficiency of recruitment assignments

• Manage recruitment activities for designated National vacancies in to page up recruitment system

• Manage recruitment progress Staff & NS across the sites by analyze the data and giving recommendation

• Prepare project budget/forecast for review and approval

In this role, you will:

• Assist the Senior Supervisor Commercial in managing the financial and cost control aspects for all project operations and implement the best system and procedures to ensure quality and accurate control including reporting

• Provide analytical support to the Senior Supervisor Commercial, Finance and Administration Superintendent/Manager, Project Manager, Operations Manager, and other managers as required

• Manage all aspects of day to day and monthly financial project requirements

• Control and review Infomine data processing to produce consistent, accurate, and timely manner completion

• Provide support for data request from client under discussion with Senior Supervisor Commercial

About you

• Minimum Bachelor degree in Economic, Civil, Industrial or Mining Engineering with minimum 3 years in the mining or construction industry in similar role as Engineer Cost Control and minimum 3 years in site based with demonstrated project management, cost control and planning skills;

In this role, you will:

• Assist Project Manager to monitor the established safety program and systems at project

• Develop project safety audit program, conduct audits, follow through and provide assistance on audit outcomes.

• Develop an environment management system (EMS) for the site that conform to the requirements of ISO14001 the Company, Clients and the Regulatory Authorities

• Maintain the EMS to remains effective for the operations and meets changing requirement.

• Monitor the safe and efficient operation of the business work processes through proactive management of the employees, procedures and process.

In this role, you will:

• To lead Welding fabrication and repairs to all plant & equipment. In addition, day to day safety, co-ordinating personnel and consumables

• To Ensure accurate breakdown hours information is provided.

• Prepare parts equipment and manpower for planned work and shutdown days, Ensure all repairs are carried out in an effective cost and timely manner.

• Investigation and reporting of all accident damage to all equipment in the field and associated area, this is included with the operator abuse.

• Make a safe working environment for all employees by ensuring all activities are carry out according to the work procedures in the TGS/PGS, JAs are relevant and all hazards are controlled.

• Ensure that there is no impact for the environment from the activities that are carried out to operate and repair equipment by ensuring that the procedures in the TGS/PGS are followed. 

• Ensure that all maintenance tasks are carried out in a safe and make sure subordinate understand of our objectives and Thiess policies, and address all safety information to crew.

• Ensure all the disciplinary actions are issued as required in accordance with the Mine Regulations.

Superintendent Engineering (927304)

In this role you will:

• Provide mine planning, engineering services and technical support for tender preparation and existing Thiess operations

• Supervise engineering subordinates within the technical group

• To evaluate reserves and recommend mining practices to maximize recourse recovery and minimize contamination

• Identify and communicate mine planning issues to Manager - Mine Planning

• Assign tasks to Engineers within limits of responsibility

• Keep abreast of new mining methods and technologies

• Follow up from concept, design and construct through to implementation

• Check site compliance with agreed mine plans when required

• Manage and produce scheduling/mine planning outputs for clients and for THIESS – focused around longer term mine planning.

• Liaise with clients and estimating to provide necessary data for pricing

• Coordinate with geology staff regarding client geological model and geotechnical requirements.

• Analyse reserves remaining and recommend best mining practice (mining methods, loss and dilution)

• Provide coaching and mentoring to junior engineers

About you:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline

• “Madya” Certification – Mine and Energy Department

• A minimum of 10 years professional experience in large open cut mine and mine engineering

• Mining heavy industry experience is essential

• Strong knowledge of Mining Principles, Mine design concepts, methods and technologies

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for both oral and written in English/Bahasa

• An awareness of mine operation regulatory requirements

• Strong experience in Mine Planning design and scheduling
