Blasting Engineer – KPC Sangatta

About the role

We are currently seeking Blasting Engineer role at KPC Sangatta site in East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The main role of this position is to provide technical services initiatives and support to sales of Orica products and services in alignment with the site business plan. This position will report to Technical Services Representative, Kalimantan and will work on 6 weeks on & 2 weeks off roster.

What you will be doing

· Complying with Orica's safety policies and standard;

· Designing blast for sustainable future;

· Participating in risk assessments, procedure development and training material for technical services;

· Participating in technical incident investigations;

· Participating in new products, services and technology introduction in site;

· Implementing methodologies of continually improving blasting performance as required;

· Providing effective and efficient communications will Orica employees and customers as needed.

What you bring

· A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering;

· Having 3-5 years experience in mining industry;

· Able to demonstrate value-sell services;

· Experience in blasting applications in particular Electronic Blasting System;

· Having a critical information seeking;

KNI - INTEGRITY ENGINEER

 About the role

Kaltim Nitrate Indonesia (KNI) is a joint venture company between Orica and Armindo Group. It is an

Ammonium Nitrate manufacturing facility located in Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. We are  currently seeking an Integrity Engineer role at our KNI Bontang Plant.

The main purpose of this role is to lead all plant integrity subjects to make sure compliance with the standard. This position will report to Maintenance Engineering Manager and will work on Monday to Friday roster.

 What you will be doing

• Providing Leadership and promote effective behavioural safety and timely investigations of Safety / Environmental accidents;

• Ensuring SH&E audits are conducted and all follow up actions are completed in a timely manner;

• Ensuring all PVI and others gears compliance with government regulation and certified;

• Ensuring that Plant Integrity, Safety, Hygiene and Environmental risks are minimized through implementing designed plant improvements, plant maintenance activities and compliance with licence conditions;

• Ensuring compliance with Orica Standards and Model Procedures for Mechanical Systems;

• Building networks with key offsite Engineering representatives and experts from ORICA Global Engineering, OMS, ESS and vendor companies for obtaining expert advice to ensure a Safe and Reliable plant.

What you bring

• Having a 4 year Mechanical Engineer degree or equivalent;

• Having 8+ years continuous manufacturing experience, preferably in Chemical Industry or Major hazard facility;

• Having NDT level 2 and Welding Inspector level 2 certifified;

• Good understanding of Indonesian regulations for mechanical equipment;

• Understand of problem solving method including Root Cause Analysis;

• Experience in impelement of mechanical standard: ASME, ANSI, API, ASTM;

• Understand and experience in use of RBI concept.

KNI is determined to be the safest and best performing Ammonium Nitrate Manufacturing facility in the world. The plant is located at the Industrial Estate of Bontang, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. We are currently seeking a Senior Environment Specialist role to be located at our KNI Bontang Plant in East Kalimantan, Indonesia.

The main role of this position is to lead continuous improvement in environmental and sustainability performance at the Manufacturing Centre through the application of Orica's SHES Management System and statutory requirements. This position will report to SHES Manager and will work on 5 days on and 2 days off roster.

 What you will be doing

• Managing Manufacturing Centre compliance with regulatory requirements related to environment and sustainability;

• Complying with Orica's Group Safety, Health and Envionment and Climate Change Policies;

• Take the leadership role in the Manufacturing Centre related to enviromental regulation and issues;

• Improving employee's behaviours accross Manucfacturing Centre for better recognition and response to environmental matters;

• Driving the development of processes to meet Orica's SHEC Management System requirements associated with environmental aspects;

• Liaising with relevant regulatory authorities as required;

• Investigating environmental and community incidents and develop appropriate actions to minimise the potential for a recurrence;

• Providing expert environmental advice to site personnel to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and continual improvement in environmental processes;

• Developing, reporting and analysis of environmental objectives and targets.  Reporting of monitoring results in accordance with local requirements.

What you bring

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering;

• Preferably post graduate qualifications in Environmental Management or Sustainability;

• Having a minimum 5 years of experience in chemical plant, preferably with an environmental focus;

• Strong knowledge of Environmental related legislation and application;

• Having experience in working with regulators;

• Knowledge and experience in waste water treatment, air emission monitoring and assessment , groundwater assessment and remediation would be desirable;

• The ability to influence, create and implement strategic direction and actions with successful outcomes;

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
